Founders Acceleration Programme
African Founders Accelerator Programme (AFA) provides mentorship and management support to Startups that are accepted into the programme. AFA is a 6 monthly acceleration programme that helps startups position themselves for investment. Startups are supported through the process of launching their products, growing their customer base, while also refining their business processes and designing a competitive product-market-fit.
Founders also get the opportunity to pitch to investors in the DTH Investor community during the acceleration programme and raise funds to scale their companies. Startups in the AFA are provided office space within the DTH Complex. We also provide a seed fund to startups that are accepted into the programme.

FOR ENGINEERS & RESEARCHERS
Makers & Builders Programme
Makers & Builders is a technology incubation programme that begins as a hackathon. The hackathon is open to teams of engineers across the African continent (including universities, and other research centers) to showcase their products and pitch the commercial viability of such technologies.
The top innovations are accepted into a 3 months incubation programme and provided with a product development fund to help in the refinement of products and development of a prototype. The accepted teams get to work with DTH Product Development Lab which offers support in the development of such technologies.

FOR ENTREPRENEURS
Thinkers and Innovators Programme (TIP)
TIP is a year-long programme where prospective founders with creative solutions and disruptive ideas but do not have the technical capacity or resources to build the underlying technology engage with DTH Product Development Lab to prototype and develop such technologies.
Applicants to this programme must have a strong domain expertise in the industry they are looking to provide a solution and are required to provide a business plan and a comprehensive requirement analysis for their product and solution. After the development of the product MVP, the company is incorporated and receives an automatic acceptance into the DTH Founders Acceleration Programme. The individual(s) who founded the company will take leadership roles in the company but DTH will maintain a minimal equity stake in the company.
